Honey Cookies

Biscoitos de mel produtos açoreanos

Ingredients

  • 300 g of flour
  • 240 g of yellow sugar
  • 130 g of honey
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of yeast
  • Margarine for anointing
  • Flour for sprinkling

Preparation

  1. Pour the yellow sugar in a bowl, add eggs and honey, whiping well until you get a
    homogeneous mixture;
  2. Add the yeast and flour gradually, kneading until it becomes a ball;
  3. Shape balls with the dough, sprinkling with flour if necessary;
  4. Place in trays greased with margarine and sprinkled with flour;
  5. Place in a preheated oven at 180ºC, for approximately 20 minutes or until they are
    well cooked and golden;
  6. Remove from the oven and take off immediately with a spatula, allowing them to
    cool.
